Saturday, December 15 | 2 PM | FREE – Reservations Not Required

Learn how to use your mouth as an instrument with master Beat Boxer Baba Israel!

Baba Israel was raised in New York by parents who were core members of the Living Theatre. He developed as a young artist exploring spoken word, Hip Hop, and experimental performance at venue such as the Nuyorican Poets Café and with Akim Funk Buddah and the Nomadic Lotus. He next lived and worked in Australia working on community theatre projects and festivals, and co-founded Meta Bass ‘n’ Breath, an infamous theatrical Hip Hop band.  Israel began his career as an arts educator in Australia and has gone on to be a leading educator and consultant working with organizations such as Urban Word, BAM, and the University of Madison. He has also worked as a cultural ambassador with the State Department delivering workshops and performances across South East Asia, the south Pacific, and in Gambia and Turkey.

All KIDS programming has been made possible thanks to the generosity of Anke Beck-Friedrich and Juergen Friedrich.

LIGHT OF THE OCEAN by Francisco Alvarado-Juárez

Friday Nov 02 - Sunday Dec 30

LIGHT OF THE OCEAN features a dynamic installation of works by Francisco Alvarado-Juárez, New York-based American artist born in Honduras. Our two main galleries have been transformed into a magical marine environment with part of the floor covered with sand, seashells and other organic materials indigenous to the East End of Long Island.
