FESTIVAL DELLA SCULTURA: Instrument Making Workshop for Kids with Italy’s Madaus Trio

Join us for a special session in The Studio @SAC creating homemade instruments to be used at the Madaus kids concert on Thursday, August 23. Participants will be invited on stage to play their instruments with the band!

All KIDS programs are made possible thanks to the generosity of Anke Beck-Friedrich and Juergen Friedrich, with additional support from Southampton Bath and Tennis Club.

4 PM: Danielle Knafo Lecture on Frida Kahlo and Artists symposium
11 AM – 6 PM: Artists-in-Residence Live Sculpting on West Lawn
6-8 PM: Outdoor Concert with Italy’s Madaus celebrating the close of Festival Della Scultura

International Artists-in-Residence include sculptors Flavia Lobalo from Argentina, Lars Widenfalk from Sweden, Barry Grove from Scotland, Alena Matějka from Czech Republic, Jill Burkee from Colorado, and Giancarlo Biagi from Italy.

Southampton Arts Center honors Blue Sphere Foundation and its Founder, Shawn Heinrichs, in a seven week presentation of Shawn’s works of art, curated by Matthew Hockley Smith. The exhibit seeks to inspire action and drive conservation of our oceans and the vulnerable marine life within them.
