This special workshop returns for singers, both experienced and aspiring, who want to broaden their singing experience. The class features group warm-ups and work on technique, with an emphasis on finding and developing the real singer in you. Students gain confidence in a fun and supportive environment, singing with others to live accompaniment. Song selections from Jazz/Standards/Pop/Musical Theater, etc. All levels welcome – The only pre-requisite is a love for singing.
Expanding the field of visual tropes, methods and materials, the 23 female artists on view will offer an artistic spectrum that ranges from the sublime to the utilitarian, from expressionism to precision, and from humor to drama. Curated by Janet Goleas.
With Artist-in-Residence Andrea Cote, the public will participate in collaborative printmaking and video. Participants will come together over the course of two months in a series of movement and art-making workshops culminating in a performance and large-scale tapestry.
