National Geographic Photo Ark by Joel Sartore
July 4 Hours: 10 AM-2 PM
The International Center of Photography and Southampton Arts Center are thrilled to co-present the National Geographic Photo Ark exhibition this summer, featuring the compelling and visually stunning work of National Geographic photographer and Fellow Joel Sartore. The exhibition will highlight Sartore’s images from his work in more than 250 zoos, aquariums and animal rescue centers around the world.
This exhibition is made possible by the Harbers Family Foundation and Renee Harbers and Chris Liddell and is organized and traveled by the National Geographic Society.
NOTE: Galleries will be closed on Saturday, July 27 and Thursday, August 29

Yoga & Sitar in the Galleries with Rowan and GianCarlo
Join Rowan Hausman and GianCarlo Feleppa for a one hour yoga class infused with live sitar music. Each yoga class will be created with inspiration from the visual art in display at Southampton Arts Center. Breathe, move, and experience the soundscape of sitar while immersed in visual art. No yoga experience required. Bring your own mat.

A Couple of Puppets presents Punch & Judy
For hundreds of years, the Punch & Judy puppet tradition has been a popular treat. In this updated version Punch & Judy cook up some whacky fun in the kitchen. Hand-carved puppets created and performed by Liz Joyce & A Couple of Puppets.

Stories and Sketches
Join illustrator and children's book author Mickey Paraskevas just before he opens his 40-year retrospective at SAC in the fall for some storytelling and live sketching.
Paraskevas has illustrated and written 24 children’s books over the years with his mother, Betty. The two went on to create and write the animated television series Maggie and the Ferocious Beast for Nickelodeon. Two of their other books were also made into animated series: Marvin the Tap Dancing Horse for PBS and Kids from Room 402 for Fox Family.
