Screening of MEMORIES OF UNDERDEVELOPMENT (Cuba)

In the aftermath of the Bay of Pigs Invasion, Sergio, an affluent writer, chooses to stay behind in Cuba while his wife and family escape to neighboring Miami. Sergio is pessimistic about the revolution’s promise to bring sweeping change to his country, and he squanders his days prowling the streets of Havana looking for female companionship. Trouble erupts when his fling with chaste Elena nearly ruins him after her family accuses Sergio of rape.

The basic materials you will need to assemble a mobile will be provided by Upsculpt including marine debris, however you will need to bring your own ingenuity, imagination and what ever you want to *upcycle! Actually there is practically no limit to the kind of material that can be used to make mobiles, as long as its not too heavy. We suggest picking up plastics from the shoreline!

The Art of Letting Go – Therapeutic Chalk Workshop + The Big Erase!

Join North Fork chalk artist Kara Hoblin for this final session of making your own chalk creation inspired by something you would like to let go of. Students will once again work off their own small chalkboards that will be erased at the end of the session, and will add to the communal chalk drawing that will be ceremoniously wiped clean during “The Big Erase”, including music and refreshments.
