Kristin Sudeikis is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, director and producer, and a highly involved and influential member of the New York metropolitan, national, and international dance communities. Her work has reached international heights in Stockholm, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Oslo, Norway
As both Artistic Director of Kristin Sudeikis Dance and as a commercial choreographer, Kristin creates work that is rooted in igniting social activism and connected to the world—seeking to affect lasting change through ephemeral moments. whether on stage, on set, or in the studio, Kristin’s driving focus is to allow others to experience the true and real social impact that is created when music, time, space, and ‘the other’ connect. Ultimately, Kristin encourages dancers to reach far beyond any limitations they may perceive themselves to have, “only then, can they tap into what they want to become. dance is a gift. study hard. take care of it. never cease striving to become the artist you want to be.”
When at home in New York City, Kristin teaches at Broadway Dance Center and at Peridance Capezio Center. She also travels nationally and internationally, choreographing, performing, and presenting master classes at colleges, studios, and festivals on tours across America, including New York, San Francisco, Raleigh, Houston, and Stamford, CT. She has been awarded the New York Foundation for the Arts fiscal sponsorship.
Curated by Paton Miller, the now fifth year of this popular exhibition continues to celebrate 31 new artists including six teenagers and marks Southampton Arts Center as a home where the East End arts scene can continue to thrive. This exhibition has been made possible thanks, in part, to the generosity of Douglas Elliman Real Estate. Public funding provided by Suffolk County.
Meet the artists of East End Collected5 and EEC Jr. as well as Curator Paton Miller at our popular Thursday night social club, “Hangout.” Come view the new exhibition, socialize with the artists and members of the community, have a glass of wine, listen to music, play ping-pong and just hang out!
