Join us for the final soothing, deeply relaxing, and immersive Sound Meditation of 2019 led by Bowl Master and Meditation DJ Daniel Lauter. Daniel uses exquisite crystal bowls, crystal gongs, Tibetan and Himalayan bells, rain sticks, Ocarina, ambient soprano saxophone, and other objects d’sound during this one-of-a-kind experience. You’ll receive an amazingly meditative sound bath and deep relaxation mindfulness meditation that will melt away your stress and leave you calmer, recharged and your mind clear and vibrant.

About Daniel Lauter: 

Daniel is a Musician, Sound Therapist, Wellness Educator and Mindfulness Instructor. He was one of the first to pioneer the experimental performance and vibrational qualities of Crystal Bowls in the United States, and has developed an extensive palette and collection of sacred sounds which he brings to his work. Daniel is also a saxophonist/composer, based in New York City and the Hamptons.  Also known as Mindful Dan, Meditation DJ, Daniel has lead an internationally recognized practice, composing for global meditation and mindfulness workshops with an eclectic, world-renown roster of musicians. www.meditationdj.com.

PAINT YOUR WORLD - a 40-Year Retrospective of the Work of Michael Paraskevas

Sponsored by Dan's Papers Michael Paraskevas has illustrated and written 24 children’s books over the years with his mother, Betty. The two created and wrote the animated television series Maggie and the Ferocious Beast for Nickelodeon that went on to win a Gemini Award for Best Animated Series. Two more of the team’s books were also made into animated series: Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse for PBS and Kids from Room 402 for Fox Family. In addition, Mickey has worked for most major magazines including Sports Illustrated, Time, Town & Country, New York Magazine and Rolling Stone, to name but a few. Dan’s Papers has proudly used over 100 paintings of Michael’s covers over the past 30 years along with thousands of cartoons and comics.

RACONTEURS - An Evening of Storytelling: "Secrets"

After a successful debut in May, Southampton Arts Center will once again present the popular Raconteurs Storytelling Evening, this time with the theme of “Secrets”.  Each participant will tell a true story about a secret of their own. These short and sweet tales are sure to make you laugh and cry. September Raconteurs include Marissa Fallon Friedes, Sima Freierman, Allan Kronzek, Greg Monske, Mickey Paraskevas, Stefanie Sacks, and Brenda Simmons. Sponsored by Patricia A. Sanders.
