Wildlife Sketching Workshop for Adults in the Galleries

with Scott Bluedorn

Sunday, August 4 | 11:30 AM | Ages 16+ | $20 ($15 for Friends of SAC)

Join us for this special 90-minute sketching session in the Photo Ark galleries with East Hampton artist Scott Bluedorn, known for his elaborate marine life drawings.

All levels encouraged. Materials will be provided.

Scott Bluedorn was born in Southampton and lives and works in East Hampton, NY and is a 2009 BFA graduate of the BFA School of Visual Arts.

The artist, illustrator and designer works in various media, including painting, drawing, print process, and found object assemblage. Drawing inspiration from cultural anthropology, primitivism, and nautical tradition, Bluedorn distills imagery that speaks to the collective unconscious, especially through myth and visual story-telling – a world he conjures as “maritime cosmology”.
