TAKEOVER 2020! Artists in Residence

GALLERIES ARE OPEN! Masks are required upon entry into the galleries, and guests are expected to practice established social distancing protocol. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building. TAKEOVER 2020! artists include Jodi Bentivegna, Michael Butler, Isadora Capraro, Franco Cuttica, Esly Escobar, Melinda Hackett, Erica-Lynn Huberty, Dinah Maxwell Smith, Miles Partington, and Kerry Sharkey-Miller Back by popular demand with 10 new artists-in-residence! Southampton Arts Center has once again handed over its galleries to ten East End artists, each with an assigned space to set up a “pop-up” studio. Completed works will be installed and the artists will have weekly studio time in the galleries from Thursday to Sunday, 12-6 PM to create new works in a wide variety of mediums. Guests are encouraged to visit repeatedly to view the progress of new works. TAKEOVER 2020! is sponsored by Ingrid Arneberg with additional support from the Long Island Community Foundation. Public funding provided by Suffolk County.

SAC Community Art Share - A Virtual Exhibition

Art Heals - Be Creative! The entry period for "SAC Community Art Share" has come to a close and we can how present the final "show" with 160 pieces! Our galleries may be temporarily closed, but that won’t stop us from exhibiting artwork. During this time of social distancing we encouraged you to tap into your creativity – paint, draw, sculpt, photograph nature, make a video – whatever inspires and excites you! Then you shared the images of your work so we could post them online and on our social media platforms to make everyone’s worlds a little brighter!

Get Your "Thank You Essential Workers" Poster by Kara Hoblin Today!

Proceeds benefit Artist Kara Hoblin, Southampton Arts Center, and Heart of the Hamptons, the Southampton-based non-profit organization offering a Food Pantry, Clothing Room, and General Assistance programs. DRIVE-IN Screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark at Cooper's Beach

SOLD OUT! Southampton Arts Center is excited to announce that they will kick off Memorial Day weekend with a first-rate drive-in movie experience at Coopers Beach in Southampton Village. Now that Governor Andrew Cuomo has endorsed drive-ins as an acceptable form of public entertainment, SAC acted swiftly to organize this special event celebrating the unofficial start of summer. At sundown on Sunday, May 24, approximately 8:30 PM, SAC will present the 1981 Steven Spielberg classic Raiders of the Lost Ark, made possible by the generosity of Simone and David Levinson. Please note that space is limited and advance reservations are required to ensure safe, contactless entry. This event will also serve as a Food Drive benefiting Heart of the Hamptons. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable items to donate in support of the local food bank.
