Curated by Paton Miller, the now fourth year of this popular exhibition continues to celebrate 29 new artists, honors the collectors who have supported them, and marks Southampton Arts Center as a home where the East End arts scene can continue to thrive.
Southampton Arts Center honors Blue Sphere Foundation and its Founder, Shawn Heinrichs, in a seven week presentation of Shawn’s works of art, curated by Matthew Hockley Smith. The exhibit seeks to inspire action and drive conservation of our oceans and the vulnerable marine life within them.
A longtime resident of Southampton, Peter Marino’s architectural work includes award-winning residential, retail, cultural, and hospitality projects worldwide. Well known for integrating art within his designs, Marino has commissioned more than 300 site-specific works. COUNTERPOINT continues Marino’s cross disciplinary practice, revealing influences that have shaped the architect’s career and life-long connection to art.
International Artists-in-Residence will be sculpting live on the West Lawn for all to enjoy, so stop by and watch these masters at work.

Don’t miss your last chance to see this dynamic and immersive installation of works by Francisco Alvarado-Juárez, New York-based American artist born in Honduras. Our galleries have been transformed into a magical marine environment with sand, seashells and other organic materials covering the floors, over 4,000 hand-painted and cut paper bags on the walls, 30 large-scale paintings, projections of the ocean, and the sounds and smells of the sea.
Take a rarely seen peek into the creative process when nine East End artists take over the galleries of Southampton Arts Center with pop-up studios, exhibiting completed works while focusing on new projects during gallery hours.
TAKEOVER Artists include Scott Bluedorn, Daniel Cabrera, Darlene Charneco, Kara Hoblin, Ruby Jackson, Laurie Lambrecht, Jerome Lucani, Paton Miller, and Jeff Muhs.

Come socialize with the “Takeover” artists in residence in the galleries every Thursday from 6-8 PM during the run of the show. Watch them work, play ping pong, listen to music, have a drink, and just hang out!
Join us along with the artists from HANDOFF: Weaving in Space as we celebrate the completion of this dynamic collaborative exercise. Refreshments will be served.
