Theatre & Opera Mondays: Dear Erich – A Jazz Opera by Ted Rosenthal

Dear Erich is inspired by 200 newly discovered letters written in Germany between 1938 and 1941 by Herta Rosenthal to her son Erich, the composer’s father. Dear Erich tells a refugee story for our times. How can a family cope as the walls of their nation’s hatred close in around them? For those who escape, what lies ahead? Even in the land of the free, are they ever really free? What if they never learn the fate of loved ones left behind and the communications just stopped? What does closure mean, why does remembrance matter, where does hope come from?

Outdoor Concert with West End Blend – 70’s, 80’s & 90’s Favorites!

Since their conception, Funk/Soul band West End Blend has been playing their version of Funk and Soul in venues all over the Northeast. Fronted by vocalist Erica T. Bryan, the band pays homage to classic throwback sounds while adding their own distinct vibe and flair. Behind her, the Blend packs a horn section, two guitars, bass, keyboards and drums onto stages every night. From humble beginnings in an epic sweaty funky basement dance party, the Blend’s goal has always been to bring that same atmosphere to every show ever since.

New this year! Food and beverage will be available for purchase from the Thyme Truck and 230 Elm at all evening outdoor programs.
