This 5-week Watercolor workshop will focus on two American Masters, Winslow Homer (1836-1910) and Andrew Wyeth (1917-2008). We will examine Homer’s watercolors from Maine and the Bahamas, studying palette, content, and composition. With Wyeth, we will focus on his abstract watercolors from the late 1930’s and compare them to his later works where he used a limited palette. Weekly demonstrations of watercolor techniques will include gradated washes, wet on wet, wet on dry, and dry brush.
