Unleash Your Inner Star At Southampton Arts Center This Summer
SOUTHAMPTON, NY, June 20, 2023 - Southampton Arts Center (SAC) is thrilled to announce its exciting collaboration with Voices Carry NY for an exclusive six-week cabaret workshop this summer. Get ready to dazzle your friends and family with a passionate performance that will showcase your inner rock, pop, country, or jazz star!
The Voices Carry NY workshop is designed to provide aspiring singers, regardless of experience level, with the tools and guidance to connect with song lyrics on a profound level. Under the guidance of seasoned professionals, participants will be shown how to deeply connect with song lyrics, allowing their emotions to shine through their performances. Attendees will learn how to arrange songs in a way that best conveys their intentions, ensuring an authentic and captivating experience for the audience.
In addition to song arrangement, the workshop will focus on performance techniques that enhance stage presence and communication with the audience. Participants will refine their vocal techniques to maximize the beauty and power of their voices, all while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow singers who share the same passion.
The highlight of the workshop will be a final performance on stage at Southampton Arts Center. Showcasing the progress made during the six weeks, participants will have the opportunity to dazzle friends, family, and a live audience with their newfound skills and confidence.
Voices Carry NY believes that everyone deserves a chance to explore their musical talents, regardless of prior experience. Therefore, no previous singing experience is required to join this workshop. This program warmly welcomes shower singers and novices alike, offering a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth and self-expression.

Rehearsal Dates: July 6 - August 10 @ 10am – 1pm (Thursdays)
Final Performance: Friday, August 11 @ 7pm
Price: $650 for non-members | $600 for SAC members
